ABOUT THE FARM

sheep1_edited.jpg

I've been raising and breeding Shetland Sheep since 2010.  Although once considered endangered, the breed has prospered in recent years. They are a relatively slow growing breed that is hardy, adaptable, and long-lived. Shetland sheep are calm, docile, intelligent, and have a charming disposition. The breed is especially prized for its wool, which is fine, soft, and strong. I use their wool for both weaving and needle felting. Shetland sheep are my passion and my dream of Mountain View Sheep Farm became a reality in 2018.
